The ValetHub ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller for the personal information collected through this website. The ValetHub is operated by The Valet Hub Platform Limited, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 17321439), with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ. For any privacy question, contact us at hello@thevalethub.co.uk or 07466 669 962.
When you book a service, we collect: your name, contact details (phone and/or email), postcode/address, and details of the service you request.
When you apply to become an operator, we collect: your name, contact details, the areas you cover, your experience, confirmation of whether you hold a current DBS certificate, your right-to-work confirmation, and any other details you choose to share. We do not ask for your DBS certificate number or a copy of your certificate through this website — these are requested and verified directly and securely during onboarding.
We process your information to take steps to enter into and perform a contract with you, where you have given consent, and for our legitimate interests in running the platform safely.
DBS (criminal record check) information is sensitive personal data. We collect an operator's DBS status to keep customers safe, and we request and verify certificates directly and securely — never through this website. We keep this data only as long as needed for verification and protect it accordingly.
We keep booking records for up to 6 years to meet accounting and legal obligations. Operator application data is kept for up to 12 months if the application is unsuccessful, or for the duration of the working relationship (plus up to 6 years afterwards for legal and tax purposes) if approved. Information is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its use, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, contact us at hello@thevalethub.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
This website uses only what is necessary for it to function and does not use advertising or tracking cookies. When you make a booking, a copy of your booking details is stored in your own browser's local storage on your device so the "My bookings" page can show them to you; this information stays on your device and you can remove it at any time by clearing your browser data.
We may update this policy from time to time. The version on this page is the current one, and the "last updated" date shows when it last changed.
